Making Their Lives Miserable: Structural Violence and State Racism towards Asylum Seekers from Sudan and Eritrea in Israel

This article examines state racism and structural violence inflicted upon Eritrean Sudanese asylum seekers in Israel by surveying various exclusionary policies their harmful effects. It situates practices of migration control Israel’s racialized social dynamics, contextualized origins as a settler society subsequent national ordering. treatment African is conceptualized through an examination unnecessary, preventable, or avoidable harms that were differentially this distinct, migrant group both directly indirectly.
